How to use AI to become more you. Not less.

About

If something’s been nagging at you lately, you’re probably in the right place.

Maybe you’ve seen the headlines. Maybe someone at your company got laid off and AI was mentioned in the same breath. Maybe you’ve played around with ChatGPT a little, seen what it can do, and felt something between impressed and uneasy. Maybe you’re in a job you’ve worked hard to get good at, and you’re not sure what the next two years look like.

That’s who this site is for.

My name is Danny Thompson. I’m a 24-year copywriter and marketer, which means I spent two decades building a career around the one thing everyone said machines could never do: write with a human voice, understand an audience, and move people to act.

And then AI showed up and started doing a passable impression of all of it.

I remember telling my boss, after my first two hours with an early AI writing tool: “I don’t want to be John Henry’d out of a job.” If you know that story, the steel-driving man who raced the steam drill, won, and then died from the effort, you know exactly what I meant.

What I figured out pretty quickly is that I was thinking about it wrong. The question was never whether AI was going to change things. Technology and convenience always win. History doesn’t have a single exception to that rule. The question was whether I was going to be the one getting run over, or the one driving.

I chose to drive.

I spent the next several years going deep: learning how these tools actually work, what they’re genuinely good at, where they fall apart without a human in the room, and how someone with real expertise and a real career can use them to do more of what they’re actually good at and less of what grinds them down.

The results were hard to argue with. A workflow that used to take me twelve hours now takes forty-five minutes. I went from creating three pieces of content per episode to forty. I reclaimed somewhere around twenty hours a week, and reinvested most of it into the work that actually requires me.

But here’s what I kept noticing: almost none of the content being created about AI was aimed at the person I used to be. The stuff out there was for developers, entrepreneurs, content creators. Not for the recruiter with a full inbox. Not for the project manager buried in status updates. Not for the marketer who loves the strategy but drowns in the production.

That’s the gap this site exists to fill.

Everything here is free. The articles, the frameworks, the step-by-step guides, all of it. The philosophy behind that is simple: give you everything you need to understand what’s happening and actually start changing how you work. If you want tools that do the heavy lifting so you don’t have to, we sell those. But the knowledge is on the house.

One thing I want to be clear about: this isn’t a site that’s going to tell you AI is coming to steal your job. It isn’t. But it is going to change your job, and how you navigate that change is going to determine a lot about what the next chapter of your career looks like.

The goal here, the whole point, is to help you figure out how to use these tools to become more you. Not less.

If you’re just getting started, the Start Here page is the right first move. If you want to dig in, pick a topic and start reading. Either way, I’m glad you found this place.
